What Is Numerology?
Numerology is the study of numbers and symbols where we can learn so much about all aspects of our lives.
That is the very basic breakdown of the meaning of Numerology but it is about so much more.
It’s believed to have first been used in Mesopotamia and also by the Ancient Babylonians and Egyptians.
It can show us our life paths’ number, lucky number or even why you see certain groups of numbers all the time. Maybe it is your guardian angel working in divine ways to try to capture your attention about a certain area in your life.
Our ancient ancestors used Numerology to help them further understand nature and their fellow human kind. It was and is considered to be a type of language within it is own right.
Is It Just Number Mumbo Jumbo?
When we first think of Numerology, Mathematics is what comes firstly comes to mind for most of us.
While learning our 1, 2, 3’s and our A, B, C’s in school, never would we have imagined how the never ending classes of going over and over, and over again of time tables would have more importance in our lives.
Some turn to numerology divination tools such as the Tarot and without numbers being present, the meaning of any spread would seem pointless.
By The Rivers Of Babylon
In Babylon, (modern day Iraq) they studied and followed this earliest form of numerology named Chaldean numerology. It had a Kabbalistic, more mystical and energetic foundation to it.
The Chaldean system runs on the energy that one may affect other people and their surroundings after they had spoken.
It used the 1-8 number system and stopped right there, as 9 is regarded as a sacred number of infinity.
Many other cultures such as the ancient Egyptian, Sumerian and Chinese continued using this form of numerology as it was the divine celestial gods that had originally given the Babylonians the bases of their numerology knowledge.
The early Pagan Celtic origins and lives were connected solely to spirit and mother nature.
These highly spiritually gifted people employed a language called Ogham where they incorporated numbers into how they would make up what would look like a sentence to us nowadays.
For example, —/—-//—-///—-////—-/////—
would usually be seen vertically on ancient standing stones.
The exact understanding of the language is currently under debate but generally there would be (1 – 5) strokes through a baseline, showing the five vowels, A, E, I, O and U.
Pythagorus brings a change to the Chaldean numerology.
This Greek philosopher not only founded Geometry, but he figured out that with one’s date of birth, their whole destiny can be found.
He finds the connection that numbers have to music, and therefore he studied the vibration of this energy that was produced after numbers and music joined.
Many other philosophers at that time believed in this practical approach also and so Pythagoras set up the first university.
This is Pythagorean numerology and this theory is being taught all over the world.
If only it were taught in the beautiful way great gods and minds once battled with each other, it would be a more pleasurable subject for pupils and scholars in previous and present days.
Intelligence could never outwit knowledge and common sense.
St. Augustine of Hippo, (A.D. 354–430), wrote: “Numbers are the Universal language offered by the deity to humans as confirmation of the truth.”
This is actually a very simple way to find your life path number and begin to find out more exciting and fascinating facts and natural gifts you possess.
Life Path Number Calculation: To calculate your life path number, start with your birthday in the following format, DD/MM/YYYY
(I am using this format as I am in Northern Ireland. For others that adopt the MM/DD/YYYY, this would show the exact same number at the end of the calculation.)
Let’s say your birthday is 15/05/1995, you would then add up all the numbers together in this manner:
Next, we want to add up 2+6=8
This is your single digit Life Path Number.
The Life Path number, shows us our true soul destiny. Why we were born when we were. What our true calling is.
This can really give us a chance to give us some peace when we can finally have a way to figure out what our true purpose is.
Numerology In Relationships
Through working out a numerology chart, the guessing game is over when both life numbers are drawn into the chart.
If you find yourself in an already good relationship that has suddenly begun to fail for some reason – again this is when drawing up a numerology chart including both parties’ life numbers can show any reasons for the decline.
Numerology In Nature
There is a fantastic sequence of numbers called the Fibonacci, which can literally be found everywhere in nature, from architecture, trees, to the shape of our Universe.
The Golden Ratio sequence was named after the Italian mathematician Fibonacci.
This magical sequence begins with 0, then 1, ( and it continues by adding the two previous digits) 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233, 377, 610, 987, 1597, 2584, 4181, 6795.
Numbers Always In Repition
Do you keep seeing numbers like 555 or 222?
How about when you look at the clock is shows 14:14 and the next time you look it is 15:15?
This could be the Universe trying to send you a message!

From the very beginning of time, numbers have always played a most important and powerful role in our lives.
