Jewellery Care Guide

To keep your jewellery looking at its best please wear your items with care. Treat it like the precious item it is and it will last a lifetime.

All jewellery is unique and handmade by me in my own workshop, created of Sterling silver, gold, precious stones, semi-precious stones, enamel and lots of love.

The stones are all unique, not two are alike. These will from nature differ in shape and colour. These characteristics is what makes them special and why every piece of jewellery is one of a kind. That is why I use them and treasure them.

Enamel is an ancient ornamental coating technique made by fusing coloured powder glass to metal. My enamel jewellery is designed with quality and care, they are designed to be wearable and long-lasting. Because enamel is essentially glass, it must be treated as such. Therefore if banged against another object or dropped it can chatter or crack.

Pearls are very sensitive and should be treated with care to maintain their beauty. Please store your pearls out of direct sunlight and keep them away from chemicals. Pearls loose their spark if not worn, so wear them frequently.

Gold-plated jewellery is made of sterling silver, plated with a heavy layer of fine 18 carat gold. Gold plating is a surface treatment on top of sterling silver and will therefore eventually lose the surface treatment due to wear.

Store your jewelery in separate bags to avoid the jewellery scratching each other.
Avoid oxidizing your jewellery by placing it in an airtight bag. Always take off your jewellery when washing, bathing, swimming, playing sports and cleaning. Avoid contact with hairspray, creams and perfume. Do not sleep wearing your jewellery. You can clean your jewellery gently with a soft toothbrush or clean with a soft cloth and silver dip.
